Throughout the Civil Rights Movement, many citizens, black and white came together to fight for equal rights.

placed against them, they came Together and took a stand. The Greensboro “sit-ins”, the “Freedom Riders” and the Selma Marches” are all great examples of how Citizen action drastically helped
push the Civil rights movement in the right direction.

The Civil Rights Movement heavily effected the economy in many ways. African Americans began to protest certain businesses that were discriminatory towards their customers. This cause a lot of businesses to lose customers and much-needed profit. However it opened many American's eyes as to just how horribly their rights were being abused. |
